The Coromandel Peninsula enjoys a mild coastal climate with warm summers, comfortable shoulder seasons and cool, damp winters. It's a year-round destination, with summer being the most popular time for beach holidays.

    Long sunny days ideal for swimming, kayaking, beach walks and visiting Hot Water Beach and Cathedral Cove.

    Warm days, fewer visitors and calm conditions make this an excellent season for hiking and coastal exploration.

    Jun–Aug

    Cool and occasionally wet, with peaceful beaches and lush green landscapes. Snow is virtually unheard of.

    Sep–Nov

    Wildflowers bloom across the peninsula, waterfalls are at their best and temperatures are perfect for outdoor adventures.
